Client: BMW
Campaign: Regret Nothing
Creative Role: Creative Director/Music Curator
What do you when you have beautiful sweeping footage of a BMW driving from a posh city apartment to an even more posh country home? You frame the driver as the hardworking professional that he is, and you sync it to the most unapologetic song of all time, Edith Piaf’s “Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien”.
Client: Vanguard
Campaign: Vanguard At The Movies
Creative Role: Associate Creative Director/Copywriter
Vanguard had a problem—they were the most reputable investment banking company in the US, but their advertising had become staid and a unique opportunity arose… hark, creative freedom. Vanguard let us do whatever we want (within reason) as long as we made people laugh and connect with the brand. The end solution was a parody of genre movies, which are a whole other kind of staid… but it worked. In fact, it worked so well that this campaign won a Midas Gold Award and Geico somehow used the same concept two years later. Funny how that happens.
Client: Fruit2Day (Hero/WhiteWave)
Campaign: Fruit Bats
Creative Role: Associate Creative Director/Copywriter | Animation: Aardman
Bats. Bats are fantastic. Fruit bats even more so. That’s why when a creative brief for a new fruit drink being imported from the UK came across our desk we were primed and ready for ultimate fruit bat placement. The lovely and outstanding folks at Aardman Animation created these spots and they could not have been more wonderful to work with—recording the VO was supremely fun as well.
